I have recently change destination server for the FTP.
On the new server I cannot get the data to save in a subfolder. A 550 error is returned on the CWD command. I have tried several names of the subolder. At the monent I am running the the desination folder blank and this working, but would like to specify the folder.

These two posts may resolve this problem: http://sqlbackupandftp.c...n-error-on-ftp-NAS.aspx
http://sqlbackupandftp.c...st48_login-failure.aspx
If the problem persists, please post the log with "Write FTP session to log" turned on (see FTP Settings > Advanced FTP settings). Also could you tell us what kind of FTP server you are connecting to?

Solved it was a silly mistake:
for the folder I was entering just the folder name eg Myfolder. SQLBackupAnd FTP was doing a CWD /Myfolder, but to the FTP server this was not a root directory. All I needed to specify the correct FULL path (relative paths are no good) eg htdocs/Myfolder.
