I have scheduled 2 backups to run daily. The first at 07:00, the second at 07:15. In both case these are only running every 3 days! I cannot work out what is going wrong here. Any idease please?

Roger,
could you post the contents of your *.jobx files and logs?

I'd rather not post this info here for security reasons. Please can I email these files to you?

I've set the system to run these jobs as Administrator but just noticed that there was no password stored in the Scheduled Jobs properties within Control Panel. I have manually added these. Do you think this could be the problem?

Email at support at) SQLBackupAndFTP.com. I am not sure how you could know if the password is stored in a scheduled task. Also I assume you use SQLBackupAndFTP v6.

I am still having problems.

I have upgraded to Version 6.

Backups to local drive (manual and scheduled) run fine.

Manual backup to network drive works.

Scheduled backup to network drive fails with:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: SBF Service
Event Category: None
Event ID: 0
Date: 22/07/2011
Time: 11:51:23
User: N/A
Computer: HP-SRV-008
Description:
Can't logon as Administrator: LogonU: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
(1326)

Administrator has full access to the network path.

I really need to resolve this.

Thanks

Roger

Have you tried setting "Run as the current user" in Advanced Settings?

Yes current user is hobbsparker\administrator and I have set the password when asked.

I have tried all sorts of options in this respect.

Thanks

Would it help if I gave you VNC access to our server?

Roger,

1) Is hobbsparker\administrator is a local user for the machine you run SBF on (in other words, do you run the program on hobbsparker)?
2) Did the program warn you about logon failure after you entered a password?

hobbsparker\administrator has full admin rights for the whole hobbsparker domain including the 2003 Server that SBF is running on.
I did not get any login/password errors when I entered the password.

Roger, it not a matter of rights. Can you specify a local user not a domain user there?
