Failure * Backup to a Network Drive - fritz.nas on Fritzbox 7390 Options · View

I test the free Version V6.1.2.16618 and have a problem with the destination backup folder.
When i use a folder on a local Hard Drive it works perfect :-)

I have a AVM Fritz!Box Fon WLAN 7390 with a 16GB USB Stick as extended Memory for NAS function.
In my local System i have the fritz.nas as a network drive Z:\
When i now configure the Fritzbox NAS Drive in sqlbackupandftp as the Backup Drive and i use the "Run Now" button then it works perfect like with the local hard drive.

but when i run the job as a scheduled service i become a failure notice that the destination path is wrong.

Try to specify UNC path (like \\fritz.nas\) instead of mapped network drive (Z:\)

i have try it, but the same failure

with "Run Now" button run the Job without failure
as a scheduled Job comes now a other failure (and i see the Problem)

the fritz.nas is Password protected for other network clients but this machine is always logged in and i have the NAS path mapped to a drive letter.
when i try the path with a browser or explorer comes no login screen and the Backup with the "run now" button works.

I have disable the password protection for a test and in this case work the backup as a scheduled Job on the UNC path
with the mapped network drive comes the same failure like in the first post (wrong path)

can you check why with password protection the backup works only with the "run now" button or can you define a login on password protected NAS for scheduled backups?

i can not use the NAS without protection for other Clients in the Network.

Gerd, when scheduled job is run it logins to the system anew under the specified user account and your password protection may not be applied to this user session. Since we don't know how this password protection works I don't think we can do anything here. If you can't disable password protection I suggest you to find an alternative storage for keeping your backups.
