Hello,

Forgive my ignorance, I've just fisnished a first time install to evaluate your software. I've done a few test backups and everything works great including the email function. I've also configured a schedule.

At this point do I need to leave the application window open or does it run in the background as a service? I looked at the options for Wndows Task Scheduler and SQLBAFTP service but I don't see a related service in Services. I read through the FAQ and forum posts but did not see anything that answered my questions.

Thanks,

Randall

No, you don't need to leave the window open. By default the SBF will be started by windows task schedule. It can also optionally be started by a SQLBackupAndFTP service.
