yes i was correct. i used the above mentioned version and it was working fine, then i upgraded to 3.4.3 and i had problem with this version, then i again upgraded to the version 4... but still i have the problem.
Could the problem be related to the db size.when i was first using that 3.2.2 version my db size was small

Yes it could be related to db size, can you check it now with a smaller db?

The problem is that we're still not able to reproduce this error on our side.
Can anyone present us a temporary account on your FTP server for testing?

Mike

i have got exactly the same probleem. When uploading more than 1 database, the first one fails always, the other uploads will go good.

The exception message is the same as above.

I have tried your new version 4.3 but I receive a time out error.

My max compressed DB is 35Mb which transfers to the FTP site and is still sending after 6 mins, I tested a small DB compressed to 2Mb and this transfers fine with no errors.

After looking into the issue, I don't know if you can do this but with other FTP software they send out a 'keep alive command' to avoid this time out error!

7z is a great compression application could you enable this as a default compression, my compressed file at 35Mb uncompressed is 225Mb where as 7z compressed is 17Mb.

Thanks for the great work.

Would the following command be a solution to keep the command line open ?

"NOOP" is a special FTP command that does nothing, but lets an FTP server know that you're still there and that you'd like to stay connected to the FTP server. By NOOPing an FTP server every so often, you can keep your FTP connection alive otherwise known as "Keep Alive" which usually has preferences and setting "Poll" to the number of seconds between each FTP NOOP command.

I hope this is of some help towards a solution.

Regards
Kev

Kev,

Could you please enable FTP logging (in FTP settings dialog) and send us a log of the error case.

BR,
Mike

I am having a similar issue. The weird thing is that everything seems to be completing correctly, it just says that it doesn't.

Here is the log:

The entire file is uploaded to my FTP, but then it says that the FTP command execution timed-out. I have my FTP server set to never timeout.

Any idea why this is happening?

Please send us the log with FTP log details.

1. Enable FTP Settings->Write FTP Session to log
2. Repeat your action

P.S you can use Contact form to provide us this information

Version 4.3 installed, still error reporting the same:

"ERROR: Upload failed: The FTP command execution timed-out."

The file compression could be better with 7z which might help the 'time-out' in sending the file. Could this be the easiest solution ?
