Hi.

I'm using SqlBackupAndFtp to backup a big database (2.51 GB); applying High compression level the ZIP file is 407 MB.

I tried to use WinRAR to compress the same database backup file and the ZIP goes down to 232 MB.

Which compression software does SqlBackupAndFtp use? Is there any plan to give the option to use another software like winRAR and achieve a better compression?

Hi,

We use Xceed Zip Compression Library and we did not have any plans to move to another product so far.
