Does this application shrink the transactional logs once the backup of the logs are complete?

I have this as my command line: "D:\Program Files (x86)\SQLBackupAndFTP\SQLBackupAndFTP.exe" -r "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\sql2005.jobx" -log

The logs ldf files do not shrink after the back up is complete.
Is this normal? How do I get my ldf files shrunk?
