I don't see where you support backing up to an Amazon S3 account

We don't. At the moment out priorities with additional backup targets are: 1. dropbox 2. google docs 3. sugarsync
S3 seem to be less common.

I think Google Docs seems to be the cheapest with rates as low as 20GB for 5$ a year. Therefore I would recommend focusing first on this. :)

Yes, Google docs is cheapest but unfortunately it doesn't allow uploading non-document files via API if ones has such cheap account.
