FTP 550 Access denied Options · View

Running Test FTP Connection I get:
STOR SBAFtest.temp
Response: 550 Access is denied
I would appreciate any help on this error.

The error is saying you do not have write permission to the FTP server. Use any dedicated FTP client to test (like FileZilla), once it all works, use exactly the same settings in SBF.

Thanks, done that, I used Filezilla and it connects just fine.
What directory is SqlBackandFTP trying to upload the backup file to on the remote server?

It tries to upload to whatever directory you specify (in the host string). If nothing is specified, it tries to upload to the root. I understand that you can connect, but can you actually write to the root?

I finally figured it out, I put the directory in the in the host string which had to be in the FTP root.
