I had everything working but needed to change the name of the job, so on fail it would email me a helpdesk ticket and would come to me.
I deleted the schedule and job and started over and now I get an error.

Title of error:
Job Scheduling

Body of error:
Job scheduling error:
The system cannot find the file specified
[OK]

and will not create a Scheduled Task for the job I created.

I uninstalled prog and re installed and same thing.

Any help would be great

Thanks

Could you please tell us what is "the name of the job"? Is it a file name or anything else?
What scheduler do you use ("Windows Task Scheduler" or "SQLBackupAndFTP service")?

Is there an actual service that should be running and what is its name? I do not see any new services. If there is how do I get it to install if the normal install of the prog did not kick it off?

The service name is "SqlBackupAndFtp Service". It should be installed when you schedule your first job. Please check it.

Please try these steps:
- Install the software.
- Create a job and specify local or network folder, database and other attributes you needed.
- Turn on option "Schedule this job".
- Click at "Advanced Schedule".
- Click at "SQLBackupAndFTP service".
- Click at "Save & Close".
- Click at "Save" button on the toolbar.
- Save the job.
- Check services on your computer.

When hit save I get the same error.

"
Title of error:
Job Scheduling

Body of error:
Job scheduling error:
The system cannot find the file specified
[OK]
"

and there are no new services.

Could you please check if SbfService.exe file exists in <Program Files>\Pranas.NET\SQLBackupAndFTP folder?

It is there so tried to run it and the error says:

Title:
Windows Service Start Failure
Body:
Cannot start service from command line or a debugger. A Windows Service must first be installed (using installutil.exe) and then started with the ServerExplorer, Widows Services Administrative tool or the NET START command. [OK]

Thanks
