Hi, I'm running v6.2.8.19089 of SqlBackupAndFtp Pro and have configured the software to send a confirmation email after each overnight backup (after success or failure). Since 31-Dec-11 I've stopped receiving emails. I've checked the log and the backups are completing successfully. I've tried using the 'Send test email' function and haven't received that email either.

I have exactly the same problem. No emails received in 2012. Backups are running OK though.

Same here it looks like its a schedule problem, i now have to go to site to try and re-establish confirmations.

Still not getting emails though i did get a burst of test ones i tried all delivered at the same time, what is the problem?

ok its working now it seems our mail server thought it was geting spammed after they all turned up at onece. THanks

Hi. This issue seems to have re-surfaced again - I've not received email confirmations of backup completion for the last two nights. There is one difference to the previous occurence, however - this time there is an error message at the end of the log file:

2/1/2012 1:00:16 AM Sending a report (Success) to ian.price@xxxxxxxxxx (Automatic)
2/1/2012 1:00:49 AM ERROR: Sending a confirmation e-mail failed: Server was unable to process request. ---> Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the operation or the server is not responding.
2/1/2012 1:00:49 AM Job finished

We did a tuning on our server to improve email routines. Please try again and send us notification if you get the exception again.

I'm having the same error "Server was unable to process request - Timeout expired". It happens when I try to send test email too.

Does it happen constantly or from time to time?
