Dear ruslan:

I try SqlBackupAndFTP on our server and it work for manual success.
But I have some questions.

1.)We have 2 instance and 6 database on 1 server.
Can Premium Version work in this situation?

2.)SqlBackupAndFTP is a soft not daemon, so when I login server and excute SqlBackupAndFTP.
Than I should use "disconnect" to leave server not "logout", right?

3.)I checked the zip file name from SqlBackupAndFTP.
It be DatabaseNameYYYYMMDD.zip, if we want to backup twice a day, how to make backupfile name different or this function only for Premium Version?

Thanks
alex

We have Standard and Professional Licenses since version 4.0
You can compare them here http://www.sqlbackupandftp.com/features/

1) Yes, you can work with any databases per instance.
If you need to work with another instance, you should specify credentials for that instance and connect to it using "Connect to SQL Server" button.

2) SQLBackupAndFTP is started by Windows Task Scheduler for running daily backups. You can read more about it here:
http://www.sqlbackupandftp.com/forum/yaf_postst59_Does-SQLBackupAndFTP-run-as-a-service.aspx and here http://www.sqlbackupandftp.com/forum/yaf_postst68_Scheduled-Backup.aspx

3) The file name format is [DbName]YYYYMMDDhhmm.zip now. You can read about multiple backups here http://www.sqlbackupandftp.com/forum/yaf_postst28_Multiple-backups.aspx

Dear Alex:

Thank for your reply.

But in your reply at point 3.
The url you reply I can access, it show me not enough right to read the post.

And I also read other posts.
Sorry my English is not good.
So I try to make window schedule and follow the examples from forum.

I already make 2 jobx files and use "Run" to sure it work correct.
Than I create 2 window schedules mask and edit it to be
"C:\SQLBackupAndFTP\SQLBackupAndFTP.exe" -r "C:\SSUserData.jobx"

But the file name still be [DBname]YYYYMMDD.zip

So I don't understand how to make backup file name to be [DBname]YYYYMMDDhhmm.zip

Is this function only work for Standard or Professional version?

Dear Lank,

1) I've checked this topic now as Guest and I've no any problem with access denied.
Please check it again and inform me if you still have the problem. We have no topics with limited access on our forum.

2) I think you're using the old version that has no support for [DbName]YYYYMMDDhhmm.
Just upgrade to the latest version 4.2
